In Ireland, there are great water goddesses like Danu and Cliodna, the Celtic Fairy Queen, daughter of the Sea God, Manannan who hold keys to understanding these ancient watery secrets.
Ireland is an island, but there are also many small islands off the mainland, each with its own magic and mystery. When George Bernard Shaw visited Skellig Michael, one of the islands off the Ring of Kerry he described it as:

The Sea holds a legacy of eternal Mystery that goes back to the dawn of time.
There’s something about the ocean that brings us back home to ourselves.
We’ll be traveling on the Wild Atlantic Way
starting at Dingle and going up to the Ring of Kerry, and arriving at last in Donegal which is spectacular beyond compare. We’ll have a professional driver with intimate knowledge of the lands and I will share their stories and their mythic significance & history.
My stories will bring these Islands alive for you!

It all started back in 2014…
How do I know so much about these islands…
I was staying in County Clare taking a 3 Week Writing Workshop. I found my way there in such a magical way – the land literally called me to her. I’ll never forget the time my teachers took us to Doolin and from there to the Aran Islands where Don Aengus stood tall and resplendent.
I had spent most of my life feeling small and unable to realize my dreams. And yet there rose Don Aengus in the distance, this mountain that called to me, surrounded by the sea on all sides.
I found myself leaving my companions behind, fueled by a force deep within my very soul to get to the top. In that moment, I suddenly felt more alive than I had in years as the power of the ocean surged through me. Step by step, heart beat by heart beat, I made it to the top and took in the most glorious image of the sea!
All around me. Ireland in her majesty. Many people sat at the edge of the mountain, breathing in the sea air, but for me the magic had been in the ascent, the climb, the wonder of seeing Ireland’s ancient shores. Shores I remembered deep in my blood and my bones.
Shores that held the legends and stories and mysteries of the past. One thing was for sure -- these islands were alive!

My trip with Elizabeth Bercovici of Magical Storytelling was beyond what I could have imagined it to be! I was drawn on a deep soul level to go to Ireland to be immersed in its mysticism and magic. The sacred sites and the lands of epic kings and queens and the Tuatha de Danaan beckoned, and I knew in my heart it was not an ordinary journey or just a sight-seeing tour that I was yearning for, that it could only happen with someone as magical as the Emerald Isle herself.
Every part of the tour was arranged in a perfect manner, down to accommodations, the ground transportation, and dinner arrangements, all which were stellar. I enjoyed being in camaraderie with others who were like-minded and caring, as well as having my own time as needed to pause and reflect. There were so many highlights of the trip — the Book of Kells, Trinity College, Newgrange, the Hill of Tara and the Stone of Destiny, the sacred wells of Brigid, the sites known to be special to Queen Maeve and to The Morrigan to name a few. But the simplest things are what touched my heart. I really enjoyed walking carefully along country roads and joyfully roaming city streets, laughing and being in the best of company. I cannot recommend this trip more! It is beyond being a sacred journey and pilgrimage. It is an epic adventure that I will never forget.

This was my second trip to Ireland based on family history, and genealogy. Elizabeth’s trip wove all the elements I was looking for in my return to Ireland with magic, myth, mystery, and goddess energy.
